Join us as we celebrate John Steinbeck’s birthday with a variety of children’s activities that reflect the author’s varied interests. Childrens author JoJo White will read from her book, Top Cat’s Second Chance. Hijos del Sol Arts will lead children through a birthday-card making activity. Professor William Gilly of Stanford’s Hopkins Lab will dissect squid. Children from John Steinbeck Elementary will sing “Happy Birthday” and we’ll have cake!
