The Big Sur Food and Wine Festival is a project of the Big Sur Food & Wine Foundation, Inc., a formal 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization established in 2016, created to be a vehicle of support to other local organizations while engaging in unique educational and entertainment activities that blend fine food and wine with Big Sur character.

The Big Sur Food & Wine Festival holds events to promote Big Sur as a culinary destination, supporting the overall health, character and vitality of the Big Sur community. Its intention is to stimulate the local economy and donate a large portion of event proceeds to support local nonprofits that benefit Health, Safety, Education and Arts. In addition, we intend to fund efforts specifically to support rebuilding infrastructure and address the needs of families in Palo Colorado (Upper Rocky Creek Road Slide Repair Fund) and the Big Sur Valley (Big Sur Relief Fund) after the wrath of inclement weather, fire and collapsed bridges.
