Create art celebrating the 25th anniversary of Ice Cube’s “It Was a Good Day”!

The 25th anniversary of Ice Cube’s hit single, “It Was a Good Day” is coming up this year on February 22nd, 2018!

To celebrate this incredible anniversary, artists, illustrators and graphic designers from around the world are invited to create social content for “It Was a Good Day”.

Ice Cube and his team are looking for great social content that take into account the lyrics and spirit of the song that will resonate with longtime Ice Cube fans. Artists may submit static images or GIFs inspired by the iconic track. Before creating their design, artists are encouraged to listen to the song, watch the music video, and check out Ice Cube’s website and social media pages for additional inspiration.

One Selected Artist will receive $3,000 and have their artwork potentially featured on Ice Cube’s social channels and also be used in future merchandise. Other commended artists may be credited and featured on Ice Cube’s social channels.

THE CAREER OPPORTUNITY

One Selected Artist, as chosen by Ice Cube and his team, will:

  • Potentially receive exposure across Ice Cube’s social media channels
  • Potentially have their artwork featured and produced as official Ice Cube merchandise
  • Receive $3,000

CREATIVE INVITE GUIDELINES
  • This opportunity is open globally to those who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by law.
  • Multiple submissions (up to 10) and artist teams are allowed.
  • Please note, that during the Submission Period, submissions may be featured on Ice Cube’s social media channels with credit given to the artist.
  • Artists should retain their original artwork files but designs must be submitted in JPEG, PNG or GIF, max size 10MB.
  • All submissions must be original artwork (meaning not using third party pre-existing copyright materials). No stock images/photography will be allowed.
  • Artists may use Ice Cube’s existing logos within their design.
  • The Selected Artist may be asked to modify their design to fit production requirements.
  • Artists that are not selected will not give up any rights to their work, however Ice Cube have the right to promote submitted work on their channels for up to three months after announcement of the Selected Artist. All artists will be credited accordingly.
  • The Selected Artist will be required to assign the copyright to their work to Ice Cube in exchange for the incentives set forth above. The Selected Artist will be required to sign a Release Form.
  • Artists must join Talenthouse using an active email address in order to ensure they can be contacted should they be selected.
  • The Selected Artist must respond to Talenthouse within two (2) days of receiving the notification email or else will forfeit all incentives.
  • Talenthouse reserves the right to remove inappropriate, offensive and harmful submissions as well as submissions that do not fit the brief, these guidelines or Official Rules.
  • No purchase necessary to enter.

Ice Cube and his team will select from all qualified submissions. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines and Official Rules.
