The thrilling new film “BAD SAMARITAN” will be in theaters on May 4th, 2018 – Carlito Olivero stars in this impactul movie and gave Latino Edge an exclusive interview!

Carlos Olivero, better known as Carlito Olivero, was born in Chicago, Illinois and is of Puerto Rican and Mexican decent. He can be seen next in BAD SAMARITAN, the next film from Dean Devlin’s Electric Entertainment that Devlin is set to direct himself. Carlito will star opposite David Tennant and Robert Sheehan as the role of Derek Hamilton. Known for his series regular role on the successful Hulu series EAST LOS HIGH, Olivero recently wrapped another feature film called BLOOD HEIST, starring and produced by James Franco. In 2012, Olivero appeared in a main role in WE THE PARTY, a film written and directed by MARIO VAN PEEBLES.

Also a talented musician, Carlito signed with the Sony/BMG recording group The new Menudo. The members were chosen after nationwide auditions and a 10-episode reality show that was also shown on MTV. The group continued for two years starting in 2007 with their debut singles “Lost” and “More Than Words”. In 2013, Carlito went on to become a finalist on season 3 of the hit show X-FACTOR. He was mentored by singer Paulina Rubio. A platinum selling artist, he recently released his second album “Dreams Don’t Become Reality While Sleeping Volume 2”.

Carlito is currently starring in the Lionsgate/YouTube Red series STEP UP: HIGH WATER, based off the hit franchise movies. The show is created and written by Holly Sorensen and debuted on January 31st, 2018. He enjoys keeping in touch with his fans and has over 100K followers on social media.

After making a shocking discovery, they must choose to run and hide, or face the killer whose dark secrets they have exposed. And Carlito Olivero gave Latino Edge an exclusive interview about his new film!

Q&A for Latino Edge:

Latino Edge: As a Member of Legion M, I’m excited about your upcoming film BAD SAMARITAN! What drew you to be a part of this film?

Carlito Olivero: After reading the script I fell in love with it and knew I had to do it. It’s a story I haven’t heard before, I loved the suspense of it and knew it was something people haven’t seen before.

Latino Edge: It looks like BAD SAMARITAN will have a very serious tone. How was it like filming this movie?

Carlito Olivero: The tone was a bit dark because a majority of the movie was filmed at night and we were filming in freezing weather.

Latino Edge: Was the set also serious or more relaxed?

Carlito Olivero: It depended on what scene we were filming, on set it was all work. Behind the scenes with Robert Sheehan was all jokes and laughs and nothing but positive vibes.

Latino Edge: Since this is the second movie by Legion M, what would you like the audience to take away from this movie?

Carlito Olivero: The audience will love this movie, they will not regret it. I also think it will make people a bit more aware of their surroundings and not be too trusting. “Don’t trust the valet guys(LOL)”.

Latino Edge: After BAD SAMARITAN, what are some of your next projects we should be looking out for?

Carlito Olivero: I just dropped my second album a few months ago Dreams Don’t Become Reality While Sleeping V2 and now working on the third album. My new single “Lie For Me” can be found on all media outlets for download. I am also part of YouTube Reds new series Step -Up High Water.

Latino Edge: Anything else you’d like to share with my audience at Latino Edge?
