John Legend revealed on Instagram Monday that he recently recorded a Christmas album and would be taking the material on an American tour this winter. On one of the last dates before Christmas, December 21, Legend will perform at the Fox Theater in Oakland.

“It’s sunny Los Angeles in September but I can’t stop thinking about Christmas,” he said in the post. “I just made a new Christmas album. I’ve wanted to do this for a long time.”

 

 

The album, called “A Legendary Christmas,” will feature Legend performing classics like “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “The Christmas Song,” and “Silver Bells,” per Entertainment Tonight, but will also include six original holiday songs. Guest stars will include Stevie Wonder and string musician Esperanza Spalding.
