CARMEL, CA – January 24, 2019, PacRep Theatre is excited to present Billy Elliot, the Musical, January 31st through February 24th at the Golden Bough Playhouse. Based on the powerful and acclaimed film, Billy Elliot swept the Tony, Drama Desk, and Olivier awards for Best Musical. Combining a dynamic score by the legendary Elton John, the book and lyrics were written by Lee Hall. Follow Billy’s journey as he stumbles out of the boxing ring and into a ballet class. Two discount performances are available Thursday January 31st and Friday February 1st. Content Advisory: Strong language.
The inspirational story of a young boy’s struggle against the odds to make his dream come true, Billy Elliot is an 11-year-old boy, and all he wants to do is dance. While the 1984 miners’ strike squeezes his family and splits his town, Billy’s passion for ballet first divides, then ultimately unites, the community — and changes his life in extraordinary ways.

With a cast of over 40 performers, the show features Noah Pope as Billy Elliot, Rob Devlin as Billy’s father, Lara Devlin as dance teacher Mrs Wilkinsen, Donna Federico as Billy’s Grandmother, Adam Angel as Michael, Colette Gsell as Debbie, Kyle Richlin as Tony, and Scott McQuistin as George. The production is directed and choreographed by Joe Neisen with vocal direction by Don Dally.

Billy Elliot, The Musical performances start Thursday January 31st and will continue Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m., with 2:00 p.m. Sunday matinees through February 24th. General admission ticket prices range from $8 to $44, with discounts available for children, students over 12, teachers, seniors over 65, and active military.
