After receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Billboard Latin Music Awards a few weeks ago, cumbia icons Los Ángeles Azules announce today their return to the United States with a new show, “El Amor de mi Vida”.
The Mejia Avante siblings’ band will kick off its new tour on February 13 in Nashville, TN and over the course of two months, will visit 27 cities including Miami, Atlanta, Orlando, Greensboro, and Toronto, Canada for the first time, before wrapping up on April 20 in Rancho Mirage, CA.
The tour supports Los Angeles Azules’ upcoming album to be released later this year, which includes the song “El Amor de Mi Vida” with Maria Becerra, the single that gives the tour its name.
A new hit in the band’s career, “El Amor de mi Vida” currently charts within the Top 5 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican and Latin Airplay lists in the United States and has taken the #1 spot in Mexico and in Argentina radio charts for multiple consecutive weeks.
Its music video has amassed more than 56 million views and, since its premiere in August, has charted among the Top 100 videos globally on YouTube.
The “El Amor de mi Vida Tour” will feature special guests at each performance, including Jay de la Cueva and Ximena Sariñana, and will present for the first time live in the US, “El Amor de mi Vida”.
Tickets will be on sale starting Friday, November 3 at 10am local time through www.ticketmaster.com and losangelesazules.com.mx
