Disney’s Swimmingly Favorite Family Musical “The Little Mermaid” August 16th through September 23rd at The Outdoor Forest Theatre


Carmel, CA- August 07, 2018 Pacific Repertory Theatre (PacRep), celebrating its 35th year, is proud to announce its annual Forest Theatre family musical, Disney’s The Little Mermaid by Doug Wright, Alan Menken, Glen Slater and Howard Ashman. The PacRep-at-the-Forest production will run August 16 – September 23rd, and will feature all the famous Disney songs, a visual feast of original costumes and sets, and Flying and Swimming effects by ZFX of Las Vegas. The Outdoor Forest Theatre is located on Mountain View and Santa Rita Street, in Carmel-By-The-Sea. Discount previews are scheduled for Thursday August 16th and Friday August 17th at 7:30 pm.


The Little Mermaid tells the tale of King Triton’s youngest daughter, Ariel, who wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends, Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull and Sebastian the crab to restore order. The cast features over 40 performers and over 20 musical numbers including Disney favorites “Kiss the Girl”, “Under the Sea”, and “Part of Your World”.

PacRep’s production is directed and choreographed by Lara Devlin, with musical direction by Janice Perl. Original costumes have been created by Ziona Goren, including mer-people, exotic fish, sailors, insects and sea monsters! The production features McCall Brinskele and Cassidy Weiss doublecast as Ariel, Malinda DeRouen as Sebastion, Nico Abiera as Flounder, Chris Sullinger as Scuttle, Rob Devlin as King Triton, and Rhett Wheeler as the evil Sea Witch, Ursula.


The Little Mermaid runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30pm, and Sunday matinees at 3:00pm, weekends through September 23rd. General admission ticket prices range from $8 to $36, with discounts available for children, students, teachers, seniors over 65, and active military.
