SAN JOSE – The San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) and Clos LaChance Winery (@ClosLaChance) announced today the release of FINtage 408, a 2016 California Chardonnay and a 2016 California Cabernet Sauvignon, both branded with the team’s logo.  The wine will be sold throughout Northern California, as well as at SAP Center at San Jose (@sapcenter) during the 2018-19 National Hockey League season.

With collaboration between Clos LaChance Vineyards and San Jose Sharks, FINtage 408 blends great fruit, local flavor and Team Teal with perfect FINesse. FINtage 408 was crafted to be enjoyed with friends while watching a Sharks game or celebrating a victory over a beautiful meal. So, whether you sport a lifestyle beard or a teal sweater, FINtage 408 should be part of your game plan.

The Sharks and Clos LaChance will officially release both wines at a tasting party to be held on Wednesday, September 12 at Clos LaChance Winery.

The FINtage 408 Chardonnay is a classic California style chardonnay; a full-bodied, well balanced wine.  Clos LaChance created this wine by using locally grown chardonnay grapes, hand-picked and culled from select lots at their family owned and operated winery. Aged in French Oak barrels, the wine also went through malolactic fermentation, ensuring the smooth character preferred by Chardonnay lovers.

The FINtage 408 Cabernet Sauvignon utilizes Estate grown grapes, to create an elegant yet robust styled wine. A blend of Bordeaux varietals, this Cabernet Sauvignon is made in an old world style, showcasing balance, elegance – a full body wine with bright fruit characteristics.

“The San Jose Sharks are pleased to be partnering with Clos LaChance on this fun and unique project that brings two local brands in the South Bay together for the benefit of our fans and wine enthusiasts throughout the area,” said Jonathan Becher, Co-President of Sharks Sports & Entertainment.  “Fans who sample FINtage 408 will truly enjoy the results of this exciting partnership.”

“As a local winery and die-hard Sharks fans, our family is thrilled to be working with the San Jose Sharks to create Fintage408,” said Bill Murphy, CEO and founder of Clos LaChance Winery. “We have worked closely with the Sharks team to create these unique blends that are reminiscent of this years team–strong, bold and award-winning! Go Sharks!”
