The San Jose Sharks (@sanjosesharks) and the Sharks Foundation (@sharkscarehave announced plans to assist victims of the catastrophic Camp Fire that has destroyed several communities in Northern California, including the city of Paradise, Calif.

The Sharks Foundation will dedicate proceeds from the 50/50 Raffle presented by Black Oak Casino and Resort at home games on Wednesday, December 5 vs. the Carolina Hurricanes and on Monday, December 10 vs. the New Jersey Devils.  These funds will go directly to the Silicon Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross to aid local community members affected by the fires.  The Sharks Foundation will also be collecting cash donations at the Sharks Foundation booth located outside of section 118 on the SAP Center concourse now through December.  Fans may also make credit card donations via PayPal at www.sjsharks.com/donations.

Additionally, all three public ice facilities managed by the Sharks organization will donate $2.00 from each admission at their public skating sessions.  These funds will go directly to the California Fire Foundation whose SAVE program provides direct assistance to victims of natural disaster, including firefighters, year-round.  These public ice locations include Solar4America Ice – San Jose (@S4AIce), Solar4America Ice – Fremont and the Oakland Ice Center (@OICSharksIce).  Funds have been collected since last Wednesday, November 15 and will continue through this Wednesday, November 21.  The Sharks organization encourages the public to escape the poor air quality by enjoying a fun, indoor activity for all ages while simultaneously supporting this great cause.  For more information visit www.solar4americaice.com.
