Pacific Repertory Theatre is excited to present the acclaimed Broadway phenomenon, Chicago the Musical, winner of six Tony Awards, one Grammy, and 2 Olivier Awards, live on stage at the Golden Bough Playhouse November 21stthrough December 22nd.
Written by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, with music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, Chicago the Musical is a true New York institution, and is Broadway’s longest running American musical.
Executive Director, Stephen Moorer states, “Whether you’re looking for your first Broadway musical, or you’ve seen the Academy Award-winning film and want to experience the show live on stage, Chicago the Musical always delivers!”
Under the direction and choreography of Joe Niesen, with musical direction by John Jay Espino, PacRep’s production will feature Sydney Duncheon as Roxie Hart, Kitty Bloch as Velma Kelly, Actors Equity performers Travis Poelle as Billy Flynn and Justin Gordon as Mary Sunshine, Donna Federico as Momma, Scott McQuiston as Amos Hart, and a cast of over 25 talented performers and musicians.
Chicago the Musical will begin performances with two discount previews, Thursday, November 21stand Friday, November 22ndat 7:30 pm, opening Saturday, November 23rd, with a 2:00 pm matinee on Sunday, November 24th. Performances continue Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 pm, with 2:00 pm Sunday matinees, weekends through December 22nd, 2019.
There is one Wednesday evening performance on November 27th at 7:30 pm. There is no performance on Thanksgiving, November 28th.
General admission single ticket prices range from $10 to $42 with discounts available for students (over 12), teachers, seniors over 65, and active military.
