PLAY-BY-PLAY OF THE GAME TO BE BROADCAST IN SPANISH LIVE ON THE SHARKS AUDIO NETWORK AND AVAILABLE ON THE SAP FUNCTION ON NBC SPORTS CALIFORNIA
SAN JOSE, Calif. (October 27, 2021) – The San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) announced today that it will celebrate Hispanic heritage and the diverse Latin culture of the Bay Area on Saturday, October 30 at 4 p.m. when the Sharks host the Winnipeg Jets for the 5th annual Los Tiburones Night presented by Milagro Tequila at SAP Center at San Jose (@SAPCenter).
Every fan in attendance at Los Tiburones Night presented by Milagro Tequila will receive a FREE Los Tiburones shirsey designed by local artist Claudia Blanco. Blanco’s design was originally worn by Sharks players during pregame warmups prior to the team’s Los Tiburones game last season on May 5, 2021. Due to COVID-19 protocols which limited attendance at SAP Center last season, the shirsey giveaway was postponed to this season so that all fans could receive and enjoy the unique and impressive design.
Also, during pregame warmups, Sharks players will wear four different mashup jerseys, each celebrating the four artists who have designed Los Tiburones logos for the team in previous years. The four previous Los Tiburones artists are Jesse Hernandez, Spaik, Abel Gonzalez, and Claudia Blanco. All artists are local to San Jose (except for Spaik who resides in Mexico City). The pregame warmup jerseys worn by the players will be available for fans to bid on after the game via a charitable auction.
The play-by-play of the Sharks/Jets game will also be broadcast live in Spanish on the Sharks Audio Network and by selecting the SAP function on NBC Sports California’s television broadcast. Bay Area personalities Jesus Zarate and Amaury Pi-Gonzalez will call all of the game action from SAP Center. The Sharks Audio Network is available by downloading the free Sharks+SAP Center app.
