HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD ANNOUNCES RETURN OF “FRIDAY FORTY” TICKET LOTTERY
 
Now performing at San Francisco’s Curran Theater As A Newly Staged, Single Magical Adventure

SAN FRANCISCO (January 18, 2022)—The exclusive West Coast engagement of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has announced the return of “Friday Forty,” the popular ticket lottery where a limited number of $40 tickets are available for purchase for every performance the following week.

“Friday Forty” tickets are only available through TodayTix.com and the TodayTix app, available for download in the App Store and the Google Play store. Entries will be accepted via TodayTix each Monday from 12:01 a.m. PT until Friday at 1 p.m. PT for the following week’s performances. Winners will be notified between 1 p.m.–5 pm. PT on Fridays. Winners pay $40 per person and can purchase a maximum of two tickets. Winners can pick up tickets at the box office on the day of their performance. To ensure as many people as possible have the chance to access these low-price tickets, they are only available to buy via TodayTix.com or the TodayTix App. It is not possible to purchase these tickets in person at the Curran Theater or anywhere else. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the first Harry Potter story to be presented on stage, has sold over 4.5 million tickets worldwide and holds a record 60 major honors, with nine Laurence Olivier Awards including Best New Play and six Tony Awards including Best New Play.

The cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child includes John Skelley as Harry Potter, Angela Reed as Ginny Potter, alongside Benjamin Papac as their son Albus Potter; Steve O’Connell as Ron Weasley, Lily Mojekwu as Hermione Granger, and Folami Williams as their daughter Rose Granger-Weasley; and Lucas Hall as Draco Malfoy, and Jon Steiger as his son Scorpius Malfoy.

Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a play by Jack Thorne, directed by John Tiffany.

The original two-part play recently resumed performances in London at the Palace Theatre, in Melbourne at the Princess Theatre on November 18, 2021, and in Hamburg at the Mehr! Theater. The newly reimagined single show experience is now playing in New York at Broadway’s Lyric Theatre, and will open in Toronto at the Ed Mirvish Theatre on May 31, 2022 and in Tokyo at the TBS Akasaka ACT Theater on July 8, 2022.
