SAN FRANCISCO (June 1, 2022)—Performances of the exclusive West Coast engagement of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the world’s most award-winning new play, are now on sale through Sunday, January 8, 2023 at San Francisco’s Curran Theater (445 Geary St.). Tickets ($59–$199) for all performances are available now only via the official website: HarryPotterPlaySF.com.

It’s time to believe in magic again. Harry Potter is back—joined by his son Albus—on a thrilling new adventure through time. Prepare for spectacular spells and an epic battle to stop mysterious forces, all while the future hangs in the balance.

The entire theater has been transformed to immerse theatergoers in this one-of-a-kind experience packed with “thrilling theatricality and pulse-pounding storytelling” (The Hollywood Reporter). It will leave audiences “audibly wowed, cheering and gasping” (The Telegraph), as “visions of pure enchantment send shivers down your spine” (Rolling Stone). “You’ll be wondering ‘how’d they do that?’ for days to come” (People).

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the first Harry Potter story to be presented on stage, has sold over 4.5 million tickets worldwide and holds a record 60 major honors, with nine Laurence Olivier Awards including Best New Play and six Tony Awards including Best New Play.

The cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child includes John Skelley as Harry Potter, Abbi Hawk as Ginny Potter, alongside Benjamin Papac as their son Albus Potter; Steve O’Connell as Ron Weasley, Lily Mojekwu as Hermione Granger, and Folami Williams as their daughter Rose Granger-Weasley; and Lucas Hall as Draco Malfoy, and Jon Steiger as his son Scorpius Malfoy.

The original two-part play recently resumed performances in London at the Palace Theatre and in Hamburg at the Mehr! Theater. The newly reimagined single show experience is now playing in New York at Broadway’s Lyric Theatre, in Melbourne at the Princess Theatre, and in Toronto at the Ed Mirvish Theatre, and will open in Tokyo at the TBS Akasaka ACT Theater on July 8, 2022. The San Francisco Bay Area has made tremendous progress in controlling the presence of COVID-19 in the community. Per city guidelines, patrons who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to wear a mask indoors, although it is highly recommended. Patrons who are unvaccinated are still required to wear a mask.
