A Film Screening & Live Music Performance Celebrating the Man and the Movement

A Song for Cesar presents a previously untold story of the life and legacy of Cesar Chavez and the farmworker movement through interviews, performances, stunning archival footage and photographs, and a rich original soundtrack. This special event will include a screening of the film at 6:30pm and a performance by Abel Sanchez & The Song for Cesar Band at 8:30pm. Tickets include both the film screening and the live performance.
*This performance is also featured in Sunset Center’s Family Connections program, as a part of their comprehensive Community Engagement department. Sunset Cultural Center’s Community Engagement and Arts Education programs invite local students and families to select Sunset Presents shows, at no cost, with the purpose of making professional arts programming accessible. Additionally, on the evening of the show, they will be displaying select artworks and memorabilia from the United Farmworkers movement, some of which are featured in the film.
